Researchers at the department have been awarded a program grant of SEK 2 million from Jan Wallanders och Tom Hedelius Stiftelse samt Tore Browaldhs stiftelse for the project ”Swedish housing prices from the Middle Ages to the present: Long term trends and fluctuations”. The main purpose of the present project is to reconstruct historical property indices for different parts of Sweden and housing types from the Middle Ages to the present. These indices will be used to analyze long-term trends and short-term fluctuations. The researchers at the department who are awarded the grant are Professor Rodney Edvinsson, Associate Professor Bo Franzén and PhD Lars Ahnland.
